1791 - Bill Of Rights and Second Amendment gains ratification.
1968 - Gun control act of 1968 occured, the act was for “keeping firearms out of the hands of those not legally entitled to possess them because of age, criminal background, or incompetence”.
1990 - The crime control act of 1990 was when the law banned manufacturing and importing of semi-automatic assault weapons in the U.S, and it made schools a gun free zone.
2005 - California bans the manufacturing, buying, selling, and importing of the .50 caliber browning machine gun.
2004 - Congress fails to continue funding for the President’s 2001 gun control program. Which was called “Project Safe Neighborhoods”.
2008 - Gun buyers were required to have a background check done so that people who were mentally ill or had a criminal record were not able to buy firearms.
2010 - A federal law signed by the president allows licensed gun owners to bring guns into national parks and wildlife refuges so long as they are allowed by the states law.
2018 - President Trump might support a new federal regulation banning the sale of bump fire stocks which is a device that allows semi-automatic weapons to be fired in fully-automatic form.
